harnessed the power of crystals for healing, communication, scrying,
and energy production. Kings and knights of the Middle Ages used
gemstones in their breastplates for protection in battle. Shaman
employ crystals for healing, the transfer of knowledge and
out-of-body travel. |

| Now, we are growing and developing crystals for technological
purposes, such as lasers and microchips and are beginning to
“remember” uses for these valuable members of the mineral kingdom.
Crystal healing, through the art of laying on of stones, is not
“curing” but one of the most advanced and effective methods of
cleansing the aura, releasing suppressed energies and balancing the
mind, body and spirit. Crystals and stones amplify the light of a
person’s aura when placed onto vital nerve centres, and charkas, or
energy centres, on the body and they act to increase the energy and
frequency, and neutralize negative charges. Ill health is the result
of “dis-ease” due to the stresses and strains of daily life,
relationships, work, finances and the like. The body becomes a
storehouse of unresolved conflicts, attitudes, belief systems,
destructive habits and physical imbalances. Different parts of the
body tend to collect specific emotions: the heart retains sorrow and
grief; the liver stores anger; the stomach anxiety and fear. These
emotions also impress upon the auric energy field surrounding the body
and may result in the person becoming more vulnerable to negative
internal and environmental influences. Crystals when laid on the body
often precipitate old memories and feelings to be expressed and
cleared. Open and sensitive persons are able to experience altered
states of consciousness. Crystals may also promote visions, past life
or future information to come through, or may result in conscious
creative manifestation. In all cases, the purpose and intention of the
crystal sessions is to assist others to clear and open their channels
to consciously experience their crystal clear and higher selves.
A crystal session involves the recipient lying on a massage table with
the crystals placed on the body or on the clothing in specific
layouts. The practitioner through intent and focused attention will
direct energies and the client’s breathing to help integrate the
increased energy into the physical system. After a session the healing
energies will stay with the person and some clients may find that they
are extremely energized, or conversely very tired. In the case of
tiredness it is important for the person to relax and rest, as this is
a signal that the healing is still underway or repeating.

Crystals and stones worn as jewellery or amulets can help you to
maintain mental clarity, emotional stability and physical balance.
Much of the knowledge of the real purpose of jewellery has been lost.
Many great cultures used gemstones in crowns and rings to channel
specific energies. Belly dancers use red stones such as rubies in
their navels to activate sexual interest in their audience. Anyone
wishing to harness specific energies may carry them on their
person—around the neck, wrists, head, or ankles. In addition to
cosmetic properties, jewellery may be created to consciously use the
energetic properties of crystals.

Crystals may be placed in distilled water or massage oil in direct
sunshine to charge the water with the vibrational force and frequency
of the stone to create an elixir for internal use or an oil for

be hazardous due to high concentrations of natural components such as
arsenic, radioactivity, and lead, etc. so choose carefully with
